With so many lonely & challenging days when my ego and inner critic question everything on the page, I'm raising my virtual glass to celebrate a recent milestone in my memoir writing journey: fourteen weeks, 25k words, and 100 pages written. The Mariposa Years (working title) is a coming-of-age story with broader themes of love, self-acceptance, and belonging. I'm learning so much about the craft and appreciate the opportunity to see my past & hometown of Bridgeport, Connecticut through a new lens. I want to celebrate with you. Dear JT Family, This week we've seen a collective call to action to end racism. Cities across the nation and the world are protesting for long-overdue change. This is a pivotal moment in time and each of us has a role to play in this calling.
